Project Details
At AlphaOne Electrics, we’re committed to helping homeowners take control of their energy usage with smart, sustainable solutions. Our latest installation in the Porthtowan demonstrates just how transformative solar energy can be, especially for properties that rely solely on electricity.
Our customer approached us with a clear goal: to maximise the available roof space in order to generate as much solar energy as possible. With consistently high electricity bills and a reluctance to run appliances like water heaters and electric heaters it was essential that we design a system that would dramatically cut daily energy costs and increase energy independence.
We installed 28 high-efficiency 450W Full Black panels, delivering a total system size of 12.46 kW. To complement this, we integrated a powerful SolaX 8kW hybrid inverter and paired it with a 10.2kWh SolaX battery system — scalable for the future, but more than capable of reducing grid dependence immediately.
Thanks to battery storage, this system is expected to deliver energy independence, allowing our customer to use free solar energy well into the evening. And with SEG export payments in place, even surplus energy won’t go to waste — it will be sold back to the grid, further improving the return on investment.
First-year savings: £1,660.35
Additional export income: £1,672.25
Total estimated benefit in year one: £3,332.60
